The Epson EH-TW7100 brings the big picture 4K experience into your living room with a bright vibrant picture and inky deep contrast. Using the new 4Ke shift chip the TW7100 produces and incredible amount of detail perfect for todays home theatre needs. the TW7100 is one of the most flexible projectors on the market. With optical lens shift the TW7100 can also move the image left or right by 24% of the image width and up or down by up to 60% of the image height without resolution loss. It also has a wide 1.6x zoom lens offering flexibility on the installation distance so is the perfect candidate for replacing your older 1080p projector.
Like Epson's bigger and heavier pixel-shifting, 4K-capable models, the Epson Home Cinema 3800 delivers a gorgeous image for 1080p SDR and 4K UHD content along with conveniences like a much larger horizontal and vertical lens shift than typical for the price.
The Epson Home Cinema 3800 is a tremendous value. Even straight out of the box it delivers high enough image quality on all scores—most notably color accuracy and contrast—for both 1080p SDR and 4K HDR to be more than acceptable for most people, and a little tweaking can improve the image quality even more. It's also bright enough to light up a big screen even in a room with ambient light, and its combination of zoom and lens shift delivers far more placement flexibility than typical for the price.
Epson have developed a new type of 4K enhancement with proprietary processors enhancing the image to 4K. The technique literally shifts the pixels diagonally to double the resolution of a 1080p chip creating a more detailed 4K UHD image. This displays all of you movies from the old favourites to the latest blockbusters in crystal clarity.
A vibrant video image with dazzling colour requires a high colour brightness also know as colour light output. Many projector brands measure their brightness levels by measuring a near unusable bright mode with only white light output. When you turn the projector onto a mode that can play a video faithfully the brightness drops dramatically. The Epson EH-TW7100 produces equally bright white light and Colour light output at 3000 lumens giving you the power to handle larger image sizes or rooms with ambient light coming in
Super-resolution defines edges for standard and HD content, while detail enhancement refines surface detail for true-to-life images.
The EH-TW7100 is equipped with a dedicated hardware processor powering the 4K enhancement system. The processor precisely controls the three individual LCD panels that make up the picture processing 12 million pixels of data. Shifting the pixels diagonally effectively increasing the viewable resolution which results in an awesome 4K visual experience.
The EH-TW7100 is equipped with a dedicated 10-bit processor. It can accept all of the HDR signal sent from the source and reproduce it perfectly on screen. High Dynamic Range allows increases the range of colour and contrast that can be transmitted and received allowing for more realism in the picture.
The EH-TW7100 reproduces deep dark shadowy detail further enhancing the picture. With an advanced auto iris the Epson can produce incredible gradation in dark scenes as well as lighten up bright scenes in a movie.
The Epson EH-TW7100 is also equipped with frame interpolation technology. The video signal is received by the projector analysed and extra frames are created between the existing ones. This produces a smoother more true to life picture enhancing fast motion across a screen.
To ensure the premium performance the EH-TW7100 comes with ISF Certification. The TW7100 allows you to modify and calibrate your projection settings against the environment it is a installed in to compensate for lighting and projection surface.
The EH-TW7100 features air intakes on both sides and a single exhaust at the front of the projector making it perfect for use in compact spaces. This means the projector can even work in a shelving unit at the back of the room for a cleaner installation.
Whether you are trying to place the EH-TW7100 on a back shelf, a little to the side or even replace an older projector but wanting to keep the same installation point; the TW7100 has the inbuilt flexibility you will need. With a wide 1.6x optical zoom range the EH-TW7100 has a wide-ranging installation distance. With the optical lens shift the TW7100 can be off centre or even installed up high or down low without the need for tilting. On top of that it has digital keystone correction for extra steep angles of projection.
The EH-TW7100 can also be used as a stand alone entertainment projector with inbuilt speakers. The two 10 watt speakers make it easier to set it up in a temporary location for some outdoor entertainment or party without having to bring in extra bulky speakers. Or it can be connected to a sound system with Bluetooth.
The EH-TW7100 is also 3D compatible bringing the action closer to you. The TW7100 uses the new Bright 3D drive technology which minimises the black out time of the 3D glasses for a brighter more vibrant 3D picture.
