Epson EpiqVision EH-LS800B 4Ke Ultra short throw Laser Home theatre projector
The Epson EH-LS800B is purpose made for bright rooms or huge image projection. It features a brilliant 4000 ANSI lumen brightness perfect for dealing with a lit room. It can be easily paired with an Ambient Light Rejecting screen to further enhance the image in very bright rooms. With an ultra short throw lens the LS800B can operate right up against a wall or screen so can be easily placed on a a TV cabinet avoiding the hassle of cabling and installation. Unlike the competitors that max out at an already huge 120” the Epson EH-LS800B can blow them out of the water producing an image all the way up to 150” (That is 381CM diagonal!). With a solid state laser light source the Epson is designed to last up to 20,000 hours perfect to be used heavily as the main entertainment centre.

The LS800 uses Epson's 3-Chip 3LCD technology for excellent color performance without the distracting rainbow effect or other color issues sometimes found on DLP projectors. Regarding contrast, the LS800 displays a remarkable range of detail in the image's darkest and brightest parts. This projector's contrast and excellent HDR performance significantly contribute to this projector's overall high-quality picture. The LCD image sensors Epson uses on this projector produce an image that shares many of the visible picture quality advantages found in some more expensive projection imager technologies, such as Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS).
The Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS800 provides the best overall balance of features, performance, and price in the ultra-short-throw projectors category. When this projector is paired with a good ambient light-rejecting screen in a typical living room, the projector does an excellent job. In my opinion, the EpiqVision Ultra LS800 can replace a flat-panel living room television.
The LS800 is one of the best-looking, out-of-the-box ultra-short-throw projectors currently available for use in a typical living room or a fully light-controlled home theater space.
Projector Central Review
For those seeking a TV-like experience for Sunday afternoon sports with sunlight streaming in, or who enjoy gaming with the lights on, or for whom the Epson's tight lens and shallow depth provide meaningful cosmetic benefits, it would be hard to recommend a more targeted, or frankly, more capable UST. I've yet to see one that functions better as a simple day-to-day television replacement.
The LS800 is sleek and beautiful to look at, and except for the dual menu structure common to all Android projectors, easy to use. And its built-in Yamaha sound system is a decent step up from the LS500's throwaway audio system.
