BenQ W2700 Reviews (AKA HT3550): |

|
"BenQ puts a dynamic iris in the W2700. Thank you, BenQ! Here’s our player, and it is loaded with a 4K UHD image in space of outside the Avalon spacecraft in Passengers, and also my favorite black level image – the overexposed “bond night train” from Casino Royale. A very nice level of contrast. Compare against first a couple of other 4K UHD DLP projectors. The contrast is better, the W2700 is most definitely a real step up when it comes to handling dark scenes."
" The bottom line on the BenQ W2700 right out of the box performance: This is another projector that a hardcore enthusiast looking for near perfect color, will calibrate, but most users will be more than satisfied with the default color settings on Cinema and D. Cinema mode. Well done BenQ!" |

"Say hello to the best 4K HDR projector you can currently buy for less than £2000"
"Its most spectacular HDR achievement is its colour reproduction. Provided you’ve got the Wide Color option selected, the projector delivers a remarkably rich, wide but also subtly delineated range of colours.
What’s more, being able to get so close to the full DCI-P3 colour range helps colours in HDR material look far more natural and balanced than they do with Wide Color set to off.
Seriously, the amount of colour impact Wide Color mode brings to richly coloured 4K Blu-rays such as Avengers: Infinity War and Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse really is a sight to behold. Certainly, it’s way beyond anything I’ve seen before on any other projector costing so little money." |

"As a 4K UHD projector with HDR10 and HLG support, the BenQ W2700 offers a lot for $2,499. Most people will consider its Cinema, D. Cinema, and HDR10 modes easily good enough to use right out of the box, and those who want to tweak the picture quality will find all the menu settings they need.
Contrast, shadow detail, and sense of three dimensionality for the W2700 at 1080p also compared surprisingly well to my much more expensive Epson TW8300 reference projector. Although the Epson showed more shadow detail at the darkest levels, the tone mapping in the W2700 gave it a bit of an advantage at what you might think of as middle-dark levels. That's pretty good for a projector that costs half as much as the current iteration of the Epson model. " |
