HQV™ Cadence Detection
Many TV movies and all film-based movies telecast in 1080i HD are recorded at 24 frames per second. Those 24 frames are converted to 60 interlaced fields for broadcast. This creates a 3:2 cadence pattern. If the video processor is unable to identify the correct cadence half the resolution is lost. The Pro8100 identifies complete frames as they come in and optimizes film to broadcast 3:2 cadence regardless of the incoming video cadence. |
HQV™ Detail Enhancement
Evaluates images on a per pixel basis and clears any blurred areas while adding contrast to make details stand out more clearly.

PCS Color Enhancement

PCS Advanced gamma correction
PCS allows up to 33 levels of gamma correction for professional tuning to achieve near perfect gray scale optimization. H-Edge Enhancement: Suppresses artifacts and jagged diagonal edges while reducing noise generation. The advanced sharpeness control renders smooth, well-defined edges for film-like response.
PCS Auto Contrast
Uses special circuitry to provide superior color purity and depth by adjusting the brightness range automatically.
PCS 3D Color Management
