Functions and Features

User-friendly operability and superior flexibility in installation and projection

Quick start & Direct Power Off

Your projector is setup and ready to display your presentation about 4 seconds after powering on, with the NEC Quick Start function.*
The Quick Power Off function stops the cooling fan immediately after turning off the power to the projector, which makes it possible to remove the projector quickly. For a rapid shut down, the projector can be turned off without powering off the projector using the Direct Power Off function and a power strip equipped with a switch and breaker.

The ECO function saves power and reduces CO2 emissions

15% energy saving and extends lamp life *

Lamp life in Eco Mode has been extended from 4000 hours to 5000 hours (Normal mode: 4000 hours).
Furthermore, power consumption has been reduced by about 15%. Power consumption in power-saving mode is 0.6 W (100-130V AC) / 0.7 W (200-240V AC). These enhancements help to dramatically reduce the TCO (total cost of ownership).

Carbon meter for visualizing ecology

The projector employs the Carbon Meter indicating the reduced amount of CO2 emissions in Eco Mode. Visually confirm the numerical value indicating the reduction in CO2 emissions in comparison with Normal Mode operation.

Variety of functions for user-friendly operation on different occasions

Security function

By using passwords, the projector cannot be used by unauthorized persons. It is impossible to project an image unless the proper password is entered.
Since the main unit has a security chain opening, unauthorized removal of the projector is prevented by inserting the security cable or wire commercially available into the opening.

Built-in 7W speaker for integrated audio solutions

The built-in 7W monaural speaker on the main unit outputs audio from computer, video, and S-video inputs.

Multiple input/output terminals

Multiple input/output terminals include analogue RGB, DVI-I(digital), video, and S-video. By using the DVI-RGB adapter, analogue RGB signals can be connected from two computers.

Auto Vertical Keystone Correction
The projector will automatically detect and correct vertical inclination and trapezoidal distortions. The angle is adjustable vertically within a range of about +/-30 degrees from the projected angle.

Wall Colour Correction for vivid images even without a screen
Without a screen, projected images are affected because of the colour of the wall or blackboard you are projecting on to. The built-in colour correction for projecting images on a coloured wall or blackboard in this projector means that the colour tones of the projected image is approximate to those that are projected on to a white screen. The following nine colour options are available : whiteboard, blackboard, blackboard (grey), light yellow, light green, light blue, sky blue, light rose, and pink.

*Selecting [WHITEBOARD] reduces lamp brightness.

Wired LAN Connectivity
Connect a LAN cable to the LAN port (RJ-45) on the main unit of the projector to control the projector from a remote PC via the network; for instance, use the PC to turn the power to the projector on and off or switch input signals.

One-touch operation switches the remote controller into Eco mode

Virtual Remote Function is easy and convenient to set up on the projector
Virtual Remote Function
The included Virtual Remote Tool utility software allows to operate the power on/off or switch inputs on the projector from your PC by using the supplied VGA signal cable. The Easy Setup function is employed in addition to the ordinary Virtual Remote Tool. With this function, projector can be set up simply by following the instructions shown on the screen for easy setup.
