" The image was very good. We found it to be great for both powerpoint presentations, and with movies. The resolution is XGA so even with detailed presentation and larger screen sizes it gives you a nice picture. We also consider this one to be a good multipurpose unit as the colour and contrast are fairly decent. Though you do get a better result with a home theatre unit the MP721 and MP721c can handle a lot more light than a home theatre unit can so if your restricted by the room lighting this is a good choice. The BenQ MP721c is a generation ahead of most of the competition, not least because of its dark blue housing. While many of the manufacturers in this month's test are still offering last year's formula, BenQ's latest projector shows what today's technology can achieve.
The MP721c raises the stakes straight away by offering not just VGA connectivity, but also DVI, component video. Very low noise levels and a shutdown time of just 33 seconds further set this projector apart from the crowd. The lamp life of 3,000 hours

is notable too and, if you do manage to wear your bulb out, replacements are among the most economical here in terms of cost per hour.
In our image-quality tests, the MP721c gave a virtuoso performance, producing ultra-sharp text and graphics with excellent differentiation between shades. Colours were slightly flat compared to the LCD projectors, but our PowerPoint slides with photos looked pleasing with the default settings, and setting the projector to sRGB mode produced a strikingly warm and well-balanced image. |

sRGB colors are always consistent among different display devices!
sRGB (Standard Red, Green and Blue) was developed to ensure standard, uniform reproduction of color coordinates regardless of the display device used. By meeting sRGB guidelines, color profiles of your projected images remain consistent with the original image. |
Unique Color Matching Technology
BenQ's Color Matching technology provides faithful image color reproduction by employing the new generation Golden Ratio Color Wheel. The Golden Ratio Color Wheel balances true color saturation and maximizes color accuracy. The Advanced Color Wheel coating technology enlarges the color gamut delivering even better color saturation; and the Optimized Gamma Adjustment ensures colors are projected honestly with the original input signal.
In the other words, there are no limitations when using the MP721c. The MP721c captures rich, true-to-life spectrums for greater visual satisfaction and enjoyment. |

Perfect presentations made simple
The MP721c not only gives picture-perfect presentations, but it doesn't force you to jump through hoops to do it. In fact, it makes it positively easy.
Control Key Lock
To help avoid annoying glitches during a presentation, the MP721c provides a control key lock. When activated, even accidentally hitting a button won't cause your presentation to crash and burn. Helpful Alerts
So you can stay focused on your presentation, the MP721c uses discreet alerts to let you know when it has powered up or finished cooling. With no need to look for indicators on the projector, you're free to continue engaging your audience. Just wait for the ring tone and you can unplug or start the projectors.
On-Screen Timer
An on-screen timer helps you keep your presentation at just the right pace. Your audience will also appreciate being able to keep track of how much time remains. Instead of wondering about where you are in the presentation, everyone can concentrate on the actual content instead.
Smart enough to turn itself off
When you're counting on a presentation to clinch a deal or win over a new client, the last thing you need is a projector that you can't depend on. With the MP721c, you can rest easy and concentrate on delivering the presentation.
Quiet Operation
The MP721c's efficient ventilation design effectively removes heat from internal components with the cooling fan spinning slower and thus more quietly. In fact, the MP721c runs at just 25dB in its power-saving mode, ensuring minimal distractions by the fan.
Durable Design
The MP721c is designed to perform reliably even in adverse environments, such as high altitudes. Its special operating modes automatically adjust cooling fan speeds and other parameters to ensure optimal operation wherever you happen to be giving your presentation.
Handy Customization
The MyScreen software utility makes it a snap to set your company's logo or any other graphic as a start-up screen to impress your audience. Simply connect the MP721c to your PC with a common RS-232 cable, and then let MyScreen guide you through the process.
Auto Shutdown
A smart auto-off feature shuts the projector down when no input sources are detected after a preset interval. This feature not only conserves power, but also prevents possible overheating.
