Big screen quality. Briefcase size
The great paradox with conventional multimedia projectors is that the better their picture quality the more unwieldy they become. That is until now.
The XEED SX50 multimedia projector turns convention on it's head. By combining the latest and best in Canon optical technology, it produces presentations with big screen quality resolution, brightness and contrast from a briefcase size body. If you're looking for big impact on a budget, the XEED SX50 is a must see.
Portable power
Weighing in at only 3.9kgs, the XEED SX50 has no comparison when it comes to balancing portability and power. Thanks to advancements like the revolutionary Aspectual Illumination System (AISYS) and super-slim Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) panels, it's not only the most compact SXGA+ projector, but also the most powerful - comfortably projecting images up to six metres wide.
Big screen resolution
If fine detail and clearly displayed images are important in your presentations, you'll appreciate the XEED SX50's SXGA+ resolution. Generally only found in much larger projectors, SXGA+ displays 1.9 times more pixels than the XGA and 3.1 more pixels than the SVGA standards. It makes the XEED SX50 ideal for presenting CAD drawings, technical data and detailed designs.
Brightness to spare
The unique combination of technology that the XEED SX50 brings together also makes it the brightness in its class. Working in tandem, Canon's AISYS technology and super efficient LCOS panels, optimise the light path, preventing light loss and reflecting more light towards the screen. The result is an outstanding 2,500 lumens - more than enough power to show presentations on a bright day, without drawing the curtains.
Exceptional sharpness
The sharpness produced by the advanced LCOS panels lifts picture quality even further. By reducing the gaps between pixels that give pictures a grainy appearance, they ensure superbly faithful reproduction of even the most detailed images.
True-to-life contrast
Canon's AISYS technology also does wonders for image contrast. It overcomes the low-contrast results of traditional projector technology by producing an incredible 1000:1 contrast ratio for rich, deep tones, true blacks and detail-filled highlights. The special coatings on the projector lens elements help further by limiting reflections that can wash out images.
Precision 1.7x optical zoom
Adding to this feature-packed model is the latest in Canon projection lens technology. This advanced 1.7x optical zoom provides high magnification with virtually no distortion throughout the zoom range. In addition, two aspherical elements eliminate aberrations, for high corner-to-corner contrast.
Flicker-free video
The advantages of the XEED SX50 are not limited to still presentations. The LCOS panels operate at double frame speed, making seamless, flicker-free video presentations a reality.
True colour reproduction
In colour critical situations, the XEED SX50 shines. Canon's Pure Colour Processing technology incorporated into the AISYS system renders perfectly clear and true colours, reproduced with completely accurate contrast and balance. For even greater control, colour can be manually adjusted with the six-axis colour adjustment feature.
Four automatic image modes
The XEED SX50's automatic image mode settings make creating presentations easy. They make it simple to select the best balance of image settings for a presentation with the push of a button. They include:
Standard Mode - This mode is ideal for everyday use.
Dynamic Mode - By choosing this mode, images are projected at the maximum ligh level possible in relation to current projector settings.
Cinema Mode - This mode is perfect for watching movies. It brings out more detail in the dark areas and provides a warmer hue.
sRGB Mode - This mode sets colours to standard sRGB colours for consistency with sRGB systems and accurate reproduction.
Progressive Scanning
The progressive scanning feature ensures your film and video footage is reproduced at its best. By smoothing the movement between frames, it produces clear diagonal lines, super-sharp titles and cinema quality film, video and even high-definition video images.
Customisable image registration
The customisable image registration feature enables you to manually control specific colour hues, while keeping images razor sharp.
Simple to use
From its functional exterior to its intuitive menu structure, every aspect of the XEED SX50 has been designed to make it simple to use. The illuminated buttons are grouped for simple operation. Its one touch tilt action makes it easy to adjust on the fly. And keystone correction of plus or minus 20 degrees, horizontally and vertically, makes precise adjustment a breeze. It even includes a spotlight pointer feature for complete convenience.
Whisper quiet operation
A more efficient illumination system means the XEED SX50 requires less cooling, so it's a lot quieter than conventional projectors. Even the air exhaust points away from the audience, making it a lot less distracting.
Multiple connection options
The multiple connection option makes it easy to connect and project from just about any device - whether it's a laptop, VCR, DVD player or any other multimedia device, it's equally simple. SO, if you're looking for big impact on a budget, the XEED SX50 really is a must see.
