"The Video optimized lumens are a big selling point on the X9. While there are some projectors boasting high lumen output on certain modes they generally sacrifice a lot on image quality when at the brighter settings. The X9 has been designed to get you a good image at the higher lumen output setting. If you have a room that can't be darkened easily then this unit will be one of the better ones to go for, at the higher brightness settings the X9 will give you reasonably accurate colour reproduction and decent contrast." |

The three impressive strengths of the InFocus X9 are brightness, ease of use, and very good color accuracy. When I say color accuracy, I mean without having to fool with lots of adjustments, let alone a full calibration. I realize that a large portion of home theater projector purchases are made by enthusiasts, but it will be products like the X9, that will go a long way to expand the base of home projector owners. The X9 should be able to attract buyers who are, (dare I say it this, so close to the election?) "regular joes." |

Sharpness from the InFocus X9 was good — we would rate it slightly higher than its competitor the Panasonic PT-AX200 in terms of visible fine image detail. This is one of the sharpest 720p models we have seen.
It’s small, sharp and bright — what more could you want in a budget home theatre projector? A two year warranty means you’ll be covered for any unexpected breakages as well, making the InFocus X9 a tempting prospect for those looking to dip their feet into home theatre projection. |

Learning curves are for school

and use the X9 projector. A few examples: Enjoy setup in a snap
with a simple keypad and a new, full-featured remote control
with patent-pending flashlight feature, direct source access,
programmable presets and more. An icon-based menu allows
you to quickly scroll and select your settings in your choice of 12 languages — without interrupting the show. Five user-selectable
