At a quick glance you'd barely notice any physical differences between the two models. While it's not the smallest projector on the market (373 x 295 x 111mm), the modern, slightly off-white styling of the TW20 won't look out of place in most homes, whether it's ceiling mounted or sitting on your coffee table. One new feature that does stand out is more mechanical than technical. The ability to manually shift the image horizontally and vertically via the lens (using two dials sunk into the casing) makes a big difference when aligning the image on the screen.

We tested the TW20 with a variety of material, from films to TV programs to console games, with varying results. For a projector billed as a home cinema, it wasn't too surprising to find that it offered the best results with DVD movies. The bottomline: The TW20 is a good choice for the first-time home projector buyer.

Lens Shift
With optical keystone correction of +/- 30 degrees, the EMP-TW20 is designed to ensure a square projected image even when positioned at an angle. Added to this is the projector's lens shift feature, which enables the projected image to be shifted vertically by +/- 50 per cent and horizontally by +/-25 per cent.
Six Colour Modes
Featuring six separate colour modes, the EMP-TW20 is easily and quickly configured for optimum brightness and contrast in a range of environments. From the Dynamic Colour Mode, which is ideal for even brightly lit rooms, right down to the 350 lumens Theatre Black 2 mode for the widest colour spectrum, the EMP-TW20 delivers superb image and colour fidelity.

Epson Cinema Filter
