Epson’s W6 projector is a model that is great for projecting images from a widescreen notebook in the office, as well as for occasional home theatre use.

At 720p resolution, displaying content from a Panasonic DMR-BW500, the W6 was fantastic. Images were as crisp as we’ve seen from some dedicated home theatre projectors — on par with BenQ’s W500. Colour balance was also quite good, and it was surprisingly balanced and natural out of the box for a projector that can be used in the office.

Epson's W6 is a hybrid - it incorporates some of the best features of mobile presentation projectors as well as some great home entertainment capability. No matter what you use the projector for, you will be treated to a bright, vibrant, high-contrast image that is sure to do your source material justice. Several innovative options like the SD card reader and USB ports make projection a snap, even without a VGA cable or even without a computer. An auto iris and HDMI port make it a great choice for home entertainment, especially with a video game console. All in all, the Epson W6 attempts to do two things at once -- and actually succeeds.

Instant Off and Quick Start up

Shut off the power, put away the projector, and go to your next presentation. It's that simple, there is no waiting time associated with EB-W6 when you are on the move. When starting the projector there is only 5 seconds between pressing the “power” button and the projection of the start up screen .

A/V Mute Slide

You can stop and resume presentations easily by opening and closing the A/V mute slide. It will automatically change to the low fan noise mode when the slide is closed. This function enables you to give more effective presentations by allowing you to mute the image and draw the audience's attention elsewhere.

Low Power Consumption

The EB-W6 uses low operation power of 231W and just 4.3W in standby mode. Power will shut of automatically if the A/V mute slide has been closed for 30 minutes.

8 colour modes

This EB-W6 projector comes with eight colour modes for easy image quality adjustment to suit your images and environment. The EB-W6 also allows you to preset settings so you can select the mode that best suits your viewing environment.

Connect via USB

The EB-W6 uses a new connection method to connect to a computer utilising a USB cable instead of a VGA computer cable. It is also possible to move up/down between presentation pages with the remote control. This is an innovation that makes presenting easy and fast.

With EB-W6’s powerful built- in 7W speaker, no additional equipment is required to generate high quality sound. The added cables and fuss involved with connecting an external speaker has become unnecessary, as the in-built speaker is ideal for recorded teaching materials in the classroom, or workplace.

Slide show functions
